AlpTracks - Independent hill walking guide in Samoëns, France
In
summer, I will offer independent hill walking guiding in Samoëns,
France, in close collaboration with
OutBreak
Adventure Holidays. Together with a group from OutBreak, we will
discover the very best of what the Samoëns and adjacent valleys have to
offer to the summer hill walker - and there's some!
The Samoëns valley offers stunning scenery, including views across to the Mont Blanc Massif in the adjacent
valley, hundreds of waterfalls in the U-shaped valley of Bout du Monde (End of the World), or the feeling of
being on top of the world during the dramatically named Roc d'Enfer (Hell's Rock) walk.
Wildlife abounds and the chances are we will spot Chamois, Alpine Ibex and Marmots during our walks. Birds of
prey that we will commonly see include Buzzard and Kestrel, with occasional sightings of Golden Eagle and the massive
Lammergeyer (Bearded Vulture)! The flora is no less exceptional, especially early during the season, and we'll spot
numerous rare orchids, the emblematic Gentian and perhaps also Edelweiss.
Let me be your guide to the natural wonders of Samoëns and the
Haut Giffre valley! I am of Swedish origin and fully fluent in English
as well as in French. A fully qualified mountain leader (summer
and winter) in the French system (Accompagnateur en Montagne), I
am in a perfect position to offer a safe and interesting trip,
not just simply ensuring your safety, but also sharing my
passion and knowledge of the unique environment with you.
Join me for an unforgettable experience!
